SEA CLAMS
(Chamelea gallina)

Indigenous and natural, they are collected by associated fishermen and immediately transferred to shellfish shipping centers (CSM) located near Venice.

"FISHERMEN"

The “iPescaOri” CLAMS are processed in the CSM of Caorle. Their fisheries were found to be sustainable and well managed, deserving MSC certification

"LA VENEXIANA"

The "La Venexiana" CLAMS come from an environmentally prized coast. 
Processed in the CSMs of Caorle and Chioggia, they have obtained the "Certified Organic Origin".

FISHING AREA

The waters of the Venetian coast, where clams are fished, are classified as Zone A. The freshly caught product is marketed directly, without purification processes.

SHORT CHAIN

The boats collect only the quantities of clams established for that day, so as to safeguard the stocks and guarantee only a fresh product of the day.

VALUES 
NUTRITIONAL

The clam is classified as a lean species, rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. The intravalvular liquid, enclosed in the shell, gives it high organoleptic properties.
